We are a health care law firm based in Berlin, Essen, Freiburg, Cologne and Sindelfingen. Since our founding by Dr. Wellmann, Dr. Beyer and Dr. Ratajczak over 15 years ago, we have focused on medical professions and the healthcare industry. Manufacturers and distributors of medicinal products and medical devices are among our clients as well as hospitals,  physicians, pharmacists, public authorities and other medical care providers.
We advise on the basis of a profund knowledge of the basic medical, commercial and legal parameters that are critical to the health care sector. RP Rechtsanwälte provides a full range of legal services: assistance in the drawing up of contracts and general business terms, claims handling, representation in court and arbitration proceedings including interlocutory actions and enforcement proceedings.

Our activities are not limited to single legal fields. We advise on all branches of medical law and also on related aspects pertaining to public law, corporate law,  competition law, social security law, civil or criminal law.

Lawyers

All 42 lawyers in our law firm have many years of experience and special qualifications in these fields. Most of us have earned a doctoral degree or a masters degree at an anglo-american university. Some of us are qualified physicians or lecturers at universities. We all provide legal services of the highest quality in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.

Location, Cooperation

We have a nationwide presence. Since an increasing number of medical mandates – for instance, in the field of law governing drugs and medical devices – are not confined to national boundaries, we work together with law firms based in other European countries which specialize in similar fields as we do.

Publications, Events

We are solicitors. Nevertheless, our professional activity is not restricted to the processing of mandates. We use publications as a forum to accompany legal developments, to provide information, to pose critical questions and discuss our answers publicly. In our articles we report on current developments in practice and case law. We also organise regular events on current legal issues, which you are welcome to attend. Our homepage provides references to publications and lectures given recently and informs about planned events.
